About the workshop.
A full-day hands-on EUS workshop at Shifa Medical Centre, bringing GI trainees and faculty together for live case observation, technique demonstration, and structured Q&A.
The workshop covered:
- Diagnostic EUS: staging of pancreatic and luminal lesions, lymph-node assessment.
- EUS-FNB / FNA: needle selection, on-site cytology workflow, and sample-handling pitfalls.
- EUS-guided drainage: pancreatic fluid collections, cystogastrostomy, and biliary drainage techniques.
- Pancreatobiliary EUS: common bile duct stones, indeterminate strictures, and the EUS-ERCP interface.
